Eureka TV Show

Hey friends! Here is something to chew on! Recently I came across a news article according to which the University of Queensland in Australia is planning to build a brain city based on the idea of the city depicted in Eureka! It was further reported that the new township would be able to house around 10,000 people and is supposed to attract more than 4500 best scientists from around the world. According to the report, Vice Chancellor Paul Greenfield had said that the University was already seeking permission from the concerned authorities to start the building of the township. Now doesn’t that sound like a tribute to the television series Eureka?

We should all appreciate the people at the University who came up with this plan of bringing together the best brains of the world. Perhaps they are also huge fans of the science fiction show Eureka. Now that is what I call inspirational television. Who would have thought that a science fiction series would inspire a township that will actually be built to house the geniuses of the world? Moreover the project is planned by none other than one of the leading Universities of the world which has built its reputation over the past 98 years. One wonders what Eureka will inspire next. Maybe time travel or nanotech wonders who can say what is coming next!

Eureka is a science fiction show which stands out from the others of its genre as it is the only show which tells about the advances in science made at a human level instead of focusing of extra terrestrial beings and their adventures. It comes across as more realistic show that focuses on what the human kind is capable of achieving based on its intellect and hard work. The show which has been my favorite since day one revolves around the everyday happenings in the lives of the geniuses living in the fictitious city of Eureka and the chaos and mayhem in the city due to the experiments they conduct for the United States Government. The fact that the series inspired a real city for the most intelligent people on earth has proven that nothing is impossible if one is determined enough.
